Riverbank Centre and Streets Ahead team
Our team of specialised staff support adults with learning disabilities living with an unpaid carer in the Stirling Council area. We have a purpose built accessible building base at the Riverbank Resource Centre in Riverside. It has a range of rooms designed to meet the needs of those we support
as well as servicing the wider community.
What our team does as a support service
We provide formal support arranged with your care manager to meet individual outcomes and work with you to plan full or part days of support every week. We seek to help promote independence, encourage personal development, and support the learning of life skills by participating in the local community and offering help to access other services, activities and events including:
- creative expression such as art, drama, dance and music
- health and wellbeing such as playing sport or exercising
- attending classes or event in the local area
- learning how to travel independently
How you can get support as part of your package of care
If you want our team to support you or someone you know, you will need to be assessed by the Learning Disability adult assessment team who will explore your support needs and outcomes. There’s a charge for using our service for formal support. If you request support, we’ll discuss that
with you.
To find out how you can request social care, call 01786 404040 and ask for adult social work.
