Riverside Primary School opened in 1926, originally a secondary school with a primary department, it became primary-only in 1972.
The school has undergone an extensive refurbishment to upgrade all buildings.
Riverside school provides facilities for children with autism. Support can be provided in the classroom or in a teaching base. It also offers Gaelic Medium Primary Education.
