The UNCRC (Incorporation) (Scotland) Act 2024 came into force in July 2024. Stirling Council has a duty to report on its activities highlighting where it protects, promotes and fulfils the rights of all children and young people under the age of 18. These reports are written for children and young people, the next report will reflect on the period 2023-2026 and is due for publication at the end of 2026.
The first Children’s Rights Report reflecting on the period of 2017-2020 was published in 2021.
The second Children’s Rights Report reflecting on the period of 2020-2023 was published in 2024.
