Stirling Council was the first local authority in Scotland to be awarded White Ribbon status. Following discussions with White Ribbon Scotland, Stirling Council, along with partner organisations, relaunched its local campaign to end gender-based violence by involving men and boys and their responsibility as part of the solution in October 2022.
As part of the renewed campaign, White Ribbon Scotland have been recruiting volunteers who will be given training to host awareness raising events within their communities. Students from local high schools are being trained as volunteer speakers, and are encouraged to advocate for long term behavioural change.
We have been working with local businesses to support the White Ribbon campaign through the use of beer mats, merchandise and support on social media.
If you would like to get involved in the campaign, email Courtney Riley for more information.
