Keeping animals in your council house
You will need to ask Stirling Council for permission to keep a pet in your council home. This isn't normally a problem as long as you are a responsible owner.
Please contact your Housing Officer to apply for permission.

If you operate a dog breeding establishment where 5 or more litters are born within 12 months you will require a dog breeder's licence.
If you operate a boarding establishment for animals in our areas, such as kennels or a cattery, you will require a licence.
If you operate a pet shop within our area, you will require a licence.
If you keep an animal which is listed in the Dangerous Wild Animals Act 1976, you will require a licence.
If you exhibit, use or train performing animals in our area you must register the details with us.
If you operate a zoo within our area, you will require a licence.
