Out of all 32 local authority areas, Stirling has come out on top in The Times Scottish Nursery School League Table, with 31 of Stirling Council’s nurseries have receiving ‘Very Good’ to ‘Excellent’ inspection reports, serving a population of under 5,000 young children.
The data used to compile the lists comes from the Care Inspectorate, the national regulator.
Children and Young People Convener, Cllr Margaret Brisley said: “This analysis is further validation that Stirling Council nurseries are continuing to deliver the highest standards of care, support and learning to our children.
“Every member of staff who works in our early learning and childcare settings do a wonderful job in ensuring that children are given the best start in life.
“This data from the study is based on the Care Inspectorate who regularly feedback on the strong links our nurseries form with families and local communities, and I’d like to thank all our parents and carers for their support in achieving these consistently positive report cards.”
