Lord Provost, Elaine Watterson laid a wreath at the Cenotaph on behalf of local communities, following a service at the Church of the Holy Rude.
It was attended by people from across the Stirling area, including armed forces representatives, before the traditional procession from the church to the War Memorial on Corn Exchange Road.
The Reverend Allan F Miller led the church service with readings given by Lord Provost Elaine Watterson, Lord Lieutenant of Stirling and Falkirk, Alan Simpson and Group Captain, Derek Johnston, (RAF).
A number of other Remembrance events took place throughout the Stirling area as residents paid tribute to the sacrifice of the armed forces in conflicts past and present.
'Poignant occasion'
Lord Provost Elaine Watterson said: “It was a very poignant occasion as we joined the rest of the country in pausing to reflect on the immense sacrifices made by those who have served in our armed forces over the years and the debt of gratitude that we owe to them.
“We must continue to honour their memory as the events of past conflicts move further behind us with every passing year.
“Thank you to everybody who helped organise Remembrance events across Stirling and for those who attended to pay respects to the fallen.”
