Born in Cowie, Alasdair is married with two children and three grandsons.
After spending his working life in the construction industry, Alasdair is now a long-standing Councillor and became Stirling’s first elected Independent councillor in the 2022 elections since the unitary authorities were established in 1996.
He is privileged to represent the rural communities in his ward, which include the proud former mining villages of Cowie, Fallin, Plean, Throsk and the historic town of Bannockburn.
Alasdair pledges to work tirelessly to represent his constituents, as he has done for the last 15 years, and will try his level best to work constructively with all elected members to deliver the best public services for the benefit of everyone in the Bannockburn ward.
