UK Parliamentary Election voter ID

All voters must show photo ID at the polling place when voting in a UK parliamentary election, including general elections, by-elections and recall petitions.

The Electoral Commission have listed all accepted forms of ID you can use when voting in the Election.

If you do not have suitable photo ID, you can apply to the Electoral Registration Office for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document.

This can be done now. You do not need to wait until a date for the Election is announced.

The sooner you do this, the sooner your application can be processed and any issues resolved to ensure your vote counts in the election.
