Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places 2023/2024

In accordance with section 18C of the Representation of the People Act 1983, Stirling Council was required to undertake a full review of all polling districts and polling places within the period from 1 October 2023 to 31 January 2025.

Previous reviews were carried out commencing in October 2013 and October 2018. A consultation regarding current arrangements for polling districts and polling places took place over 11 weeks, from 18 September to 30 November 2023. The responses to this consultation process were then taken into account within the Returning Officer’s submission to Council.

In total 119 responses were received, mostly via the online survey, with a small number received via email. The majority of responses confirmed that current arrangements were considered to be suitable and appropriate.

At the meeting of Stirling Council on 10 October 2024, Council approved the proposed arrangements for all polling district boundaries and polling places as set out within the Returning Officer’s Submission. Details of all current arrangements can be found below.

The following background documents relating to the review process are also available for download.
