Councillor
Rachel Nunn
Conservative, Stirling North
Introduction
Rachel Nunn moved to Stirling to study 30 years ago. Shortly after graduating, she met her husband and they settled here where they still live with their family.
Rachel has always been an active volunteer. She is currently a Cub Leader and Mentor at a social care programme and also volunteered at ‘Change Grow Live’, helping people recover from substance misuse. She has been a treasurer in several charities.
Her career has centred on how to build financial, social, and environmental sustainability in communities. In 2008, Rachel founded Going Carbon Neutral Stirling, one of the first community climate change projects in the UK, and has advised the UK, Welsh, and Scottish Governments. Her work on net zero is on-going.
Rachel currently works for a Regional MSP as a caseworker and researcher offering support over housing, health, community safety and environment issues.
