We are recording details for health and safety of customers and staff within specified premises, as outlined by the Scottish Government. We will record name(s) and contact details to support NHS Scotland’s Test and Protect scheme. This information will be used to enable NHS Scotland to contact you should you have been in a premises around the same time as someone
who has subsequently tested positive for the coronavirus.
Along with the date and time of your arrival and departure, we will only collect the following personal data if applicable:

Customer health information will not be requested or stored.
The Council is permitted to process your personal data in this way because it will assist with NHS Scotland’s Test and Protect scheme.
The lawful basis for the Council processing your personal data comes under GDPR Article 6(1)(e) – processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.
We obtain the data directly from our customers when they visit certain establishments. We may also obtain the data from third parties, such as funeral directors. Data regarding staff will be supplied by the relevant service area.
The data will be held by each respective establishment. This may be held on paper or electronically stored on a secure council drive.
Personal data collected for Test & Trace will be retained only for the purposes stated in this privacy notice and will be held for no more than 21 days.
