The Council is permitted to process your personal data
in this way because it will assist the Scottish Government in relation to help support shielding individuals during COVID-19.
The lawful basis for the Council processing your personal data comes under GDPR Article 6(1)(a) – the data subject has given consent to the processing of his or her personal data for one or more specific purposes
We obtain the data directly from our customers when they input this data on our online system.
The data will be held in a secure Council data base that is encrypted at rest. The data is only accessible to officers responsible for sharing the data with the Scottish Government.
The Scottish Government has asked that all data is shared by the 11th November as per the deadline for requests. When the Council has shared this data with the Scottish Government, all records will be deleted.
