Throsk Community Council Meeting

7 pm Tuesday 10 December 2024 Throsk Community Centre

 

Minutes  

  1. Present: William Liddell (WL), Treasurer, Ian Corlett (IC) Vice Chair, Fiona McKenzie (FM) Yvonne Dickson (YD) Minute Taker, 2 Residents

 

  1. Apologies: Jimmy Morton (JM) Chair, Bernard Reynolds, (BR) Secretary, Rebecca Liddel (RL)

 

  1. Welcome: (WL) Welcomed everyone to the meeting.

 

  1. Minutes of Previous Meeting November 2024: Proposed (IC) Seconded (FM)

 

  1. Matters arising: No Funding for Christmas lights this year, try for next year and try to get sponsorship from businesses – we now have a list of businesses in Bandeath but not sure how current it is.

 

  1. Police Report:

13/11/24 – 8/12/24 emailed to (WL)

2 cases of speeding in the area and total crime reports, 3 calls made to police re-traffic provision an alarm call and an abandoned 999 call. (WL) It would be good if we had more information on these calls, but no Police was in presence 

 

  1. Councillors Report:

No councillor was in attendance. There will be a by election for Bannockburn East on 23 Jan 2025 so we should have a new councillor for ward 7 then. 

 

  1. Throsk Community Enterprise

No one is in attendance, and there is no word from them to date. (Res) asked about Community Enterprise and who owned it. (WL) explained that the Community centre is used for karate, dancing etc and has to be rented by the Community Council for monthly meetings. They are on Facebook for more information.

 

  1. Correspondence - N/A

 

  1. Planning - (WL) 24/00670/FUL – Erection of 5 Dwelling houses, foul and surface water Drainage, upgraded access and driveways at land adjacent to North of Northdoll Gardeners Cottage Northdoll Cowie. 24/00710/FUL Erection of 2 Dwelling houses at land west of Northdoll Stradings, Northdoll Cowie.

 

  1. Any other Competent Business: Drains in the village are a major issue they constantly sink due to heavy traffic and hitting the drains causing vibrations to the buildings on the main street. SC is hopefully going to come back out to look at this. Action (WL) will put in a report to SC regarding the drain at the beginning of Throsk at the Fallin entrance

(Res) There is a tree at the side of her house is overgrown and wondering if it can be taken down as it causes a nuisance and is overgrown,  it’s in the Greenbelt area. Action (WL) 

 

School Buses - No information to date

 

 

The next meeting will be held at 7 pm Tuesday 14 January 2025 at Throsk Community Centre.
