1. Welcome from the Chair and declarations of Interest
JH welcomed everybody to the meeting. There were no declarations of interest.
- Minutes of November meeting and matters arising.
The minutes had been circulated to all CC members and were accepted.
Proposed by KR seconded by PL.
Matters arising: JH thanked Duff Trees for providing our tree again this year and everybody who was involved in making the Christmas Lights switch on a success; those who decorated the fence, erected and decorated the tree, put up the outside lights, decorated the inside of the hall, DWE for the lovely music and the Wee Spuds and their helpers who put the lights on all the tubs. She gave a special thank you to Innes Fergusson who pressed the switch to light up the tree. She also thanked everybody who helped on the evening and tidied up afterwards.
Richard Baynes had highlighted the state of the path from Station Road towards Duntreath and asked us to write to SC about this. Mairi McIntosh replied to us very promptly and said that the path is not a core path and is not part of SC’s Core Paths Plan, but access rights still apply under the Scottish Government Access Laws. She is in discussion with Scottish Water and the landowner about removing the fallen trees.
JH and GE completed the survey on Resilience from SC.
New lights were purchased for the porch at the Village Club.
3. Police Report
PC Laura Newlands has joined PC McCammon on the Forth and Endrick Ward Community Policing Team.
In future the Police Report will cover all ten CC areas in the ward and will be issued on the 15th of the month. This will be too late for our meetings at the beginning of the month, but we will put anything relevant on the website.
- Local Place Plan update.
The LPP group attended a Teams meeting with SC this evening. This was not a success as the sound quality was very poor. The group will meet again on December 12th.
- Elected Member’s Report
Councillor Fraser was unable to attend.
6. Planning and Licensing
24/00626/PPP: Erection of four detached, single-storey letting lodges including removal of existing community hut. Land and building South of Carbeth Inn Blanefield. The applicants intend to agree a relocation of the hut. KJR asked if there would be supervision of the lodges and JG said that he will ask about this.
24/00537/FUL: Change of use of land to camping and motorhome site, associated engineering operations and the siting of 2No additional staff caravans
(Retrospective) Ardoch House, Blanefield G63 9AW
JG submitted comments on this application as agreed at the last meeting. He noted that comments from Environmental Health officers have been added to the application.
7. Finance
There is £4594.66 in the account
The admin grant of £442.50 has now been received.
These figures do not include the donations or costs from the lights switch on. PL expects the donations to be roughly £350 and said that residents were very generous. She said that after costs have been paid we should have about £20 profit to go towards next year’s event.
8. Correspondence
A resident reported a wait of 1.5 hours for an ambulance when she believed that her husband had had a stroke. Another prospective resident has contacted us to ask about ambulance times in the area. We will contact Evelyn Tweed about this issue.
A resident asked if the horse community could be kept in the loop about new paths.
A resident asked about being co-opted on to the CC. JH said that we have decided not to co-opt this year and this was agreed unanimously by CC members present.
9. AOCB
A local landowner will attend our meeting in January to give residents information about his future plans. JH said that we will publicise this nearer the time.
A resident asked about the path discussed earlier. This will be in the LPP
