The minutes were adopted; Proposed by KR, Seconded by EM
3. Reports from Office Bearers
a) Chairperson’s Report: Julie Hutchison
JH reported that we started in September with 8 members of the CC. Pam Lee
was co-opted in October, taking our membership to 9.
She thanked the members of the CC for giving up their time to help local
residents.
We held Zoom meetings in the early part of this year, but have been able to
return to in person meetings and now run hybrid meetings which allow members
to attend remotely if necessary.
It has been a fairly quiet year. We have had a few issues with roads in the area,
which are still ongoing, and some planning issues. We offered support to Dr
McLean when Dr Carmichael retired, and she appreciated this.
Once again we did not have our Christmas lights switch on due to Covid
restrictions, but we hope that we will be able to hold this event again next
Christmas.
We had a successful Jubilee bonfire on June 2nd. We must record our grateful
thanks to Edward Pickard for offering the site and bringing his tractor to help us
move the wood. He also cleared the site the following morning. We also want to
thank the two members of Blanefield Thistle who came to help.
Julie thanked Chris Edmonds for his help with the BVB, which we currently
produce every two months.
We sadly lost Philip Graves in January, taking us back to 8 members.

b) Secretary’s Report: Grace Edmonds
My main task as secretary is to prepare the agenda for meetings and take the
minutes. I circulate the papers for meetings two weeks prior to the meeting and
send adopted minutes to Stirling Council. I also prepare the Meetings Schedule
to be agreed at the AGM and circulate this to CC members.
I ensure that the agenda for each meeting and the minutes of the previous one
are posted on the village notice boards. I am responsible for booking the Village
Club for CC meetings and I also collect the audio/visual equipment prior to each
meeting and return it afterwards.
In addition to my duties as secretary I am the CC representative on the Village
Club committee. In conjunction with Evelyn and Julie, I edit the BVB.
c) Treasurer’s Report: Evelyn Macdougall
These accounts take us from 1st April 2021 to March 31st 2022.
They have yet to be examined by Kate Baxter, after which they will be
sent to SC. EH and GE updated the fixed assets this year. EH
thanked the individuals who have sponsored the BVB throughout the
year.
