The parking enforcement team recently visited Killin and handed out a significant number of tickets. Street parking information signs are no longer visible on Main Street, KCC asked that this be mentioned to the roads department, to help prevent people parking on the main street. It was noted that Local residents can apply for an exception via Stirling council, should they wish to park near their property. G. Maxwell asked the community for their opinion on the matter, and it was felt a meeting regarding this matter could be arranged.
Pavement old Coop – The pavement outside the old coop is requiring to be upgraded. G. Maxwell will liaise with the road department for this to be addressed, however he did report that this will not be done urgently, due the road programme scaling back due to budget.
C60 Bus update – the operation is now fully underway; however, user numbers are still not overly high. There have been reports of the bus having problems with the card machine, however this is getting addressed. The matter of the bus schedule was raised and addressed, with members of the public reporting that the gap between 9am-4pm was meaning the bus was not being used to its full potential. Stirling councils are still looking at recruiting new drivers and the programme is being put out to social media, as well as the C60 timetable to encourage more people to use the bus.
