Cornton Community Council minutes Meeting Wednesday 27th September 2023

The meeting started with Jackie McKechnie announcing her resignation from her role as Chair with immediate effect. She feels the toxic environment at the meetings is having an impact on her work and personal life and she therefore she can no longer continue with the role. Mary Brown, Vice Chair also handed in her resignation also with immediate effect for similar reasons.
It was agreed as not all elected members were present to vote in a new chair the meeting would be suspended and the vote would take place at the next meeting on 25th October. Information will be sent all members of the community council and to members of the public.
Bank Account
Shona Cullen gave a brief update on the bank account. The issues with this have now been passed to Alyn Smith and he is currently looking into the situation.
Logo Competition
Sharon McQuillan invited along 2 players from Stirling Albion to judge the competition. This happened prior to the community council meeting. The winners were as follows:
First Prize – Elise – Primary 1
Second Prize – Sean Lambie – Primary 7
Third Prize – Lara McGregor – age 8, poster came from the community.
The next meeting will take place at Cornton Community centre om Wednesday 25th October at 7pm
