1. Welcome
Martin welcomed all to the meeting and introductions were made.
2. Apologies
Jamie Adcock, Andrew Nelson – Superglass
3. Minutes of previous meeting and matters arising
Previous months minutes – proposed by Philomena McClung and seconded by Barbara
Anderson.
AGM to take place June 26.
4. Office Bearer Reports
Chair – N/A.
Secretary – Review of various correspondence: DPEA Planning and Appeals Training for
communities, it’s a virtual event on 12 June advise by 31 May if attending.
Officer from land Services in touch regarding complaints about dogs in parks – document to
be filled which Mandy will complete.
Community Council Healthcheck – document for self assessment tool. Information sessions
are available on 31 May, 4 June and 10 June. Pauline Roberts – Development
Management, Martin has confirmed he will attend.
Treasurer – Accounts have been audited and report is available to end of March 24 for the
AGM in June.
Account Balance: £4667.61
Outgoings: £ 90.00 (2 x minute takers fee)
£1104.00 (replacement defibrillator)
Current Balance: £3473.61
Planning – Two reported applications; one for single story extension (Carrick Court) ramps
to be constructed. The second application is for installation of electrical service stations,
lighting and CCT at Tim Hortons.
The community council has no objection to the above.
5. Additional Reports
Councillor Report – no report.
Police – no Police presence.
6. General Business
Co-option of community councillors – space available.
White Ribbon Campaign – approached the Linden Inn regarding the beer mats unfortunately
the answer is no.
Flyers/leaflet drop – Jamie is dealing with this.
Litter pick – looking to undertake this later in the year.
Superglass
Meeting with Charity Steering Group.
Reports received regarding fibres that have been found in the community. Not sure that
these are actually from Superglass. Recent fire – investigations under way.
Meeting closed at 19:50hrs.
Next meeting will be 26 June. AGM will begin at 19:00hrs and the normal meeting at 19:30
