Updates relating to all emergency closures across Stirling.
Emergency Clearway: Invertrossachs Road / C114
Invertrossachs Road and the C114 will have a clearway enforced to prevent indiscriminate parking which is obstructing the road and causing a road safety issue.
Invertrossachs Road: For its entire length, until further notice
C114: For its entire length from 28 August 2020 to 17 September 2020
Extension to Emergency Works: Spittal Street, Bank Street, St John Street, and Mar Place
The following restrictions will continue to be in place until 6 September 2020 to allow for reinstatement works following sewer repairs in the area.
The following streets will be closed:
Spittal Street: From the junction of Corn Exchange Road to the access road to Collessio Hotel.
Bank Street: From the junction with Spittal Street to the junction with Baker Street.
Alternative Route: via Corn Exchange Road, Albert Place, Dumbarton Road West, Raploch Road, Back O’Hill Road, Lower Bridge Street, Upper Bridge Street, St Mary’s Wynd, Broad Street, Mar Place, St John Street.
Parking will be suspended in the following streets:
Spittal Street: From the junction of Corn Exchange Road to the junction of St John Street.
St John Street: From the junction with Spittal Street to the junction with Mar Place.
Mar Place: For its entire length.
Roads over which one way system is to be reversed:
Spittal Street: From the junction of Bank Street to the point where it meets St John Street.
St John Street: From the point where it meets Spittal Street to the point where it meets Mar Place.
Mar Place: For its entire length.
From Thursday 20 August until Saturday 6 September 2020 , service P2 will not serve the following stops:
- Barnton Street
- Murray Place
- King Street
- Spittal St
- St Johns St
- Mar Place
- Broad Street
Nearest alternative stops are located:
- Corn Exchange Road
- Cowane Street
Drivers will uplift and set down passengers where it is safe to do so on Baker Street.
Emergency Road Closure: Upper Castlehill (near Stirling Castle)
An emergency closure has been put in place on Upper Castlehill. It will be closed from Sunday 2nd August due to a dangerous building on Upper Castlehill.
This closure will not stop traffic travelling along Mar Place to access Stirling Castle and the Portcullis. However, you will not able to travel past the castle from the Porcullis for access to Ballengeich Cemetery or Lower Castlehill.
Emergency Road Closure: Greenwood Avenue, Stirling
An emergency closure has been put in place on Greenwood Avenue. It will be closed from 7am on Saturday 9th September until 6pm on Thursday 17th September to facilitate emergency Scottish Power works.
This closure runs from its junction with Royal Gardens to its junction with Victoria Road in the Kings Park area of Stirling.
Please Note: Emergency service access will be maintained.
Road Closure: Kilbryde and Brack Road, Doune
Notice is given that, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), Stirling Council will
close the following road as an emergency
Kilbryde and Brack Road For its entire length from 0900 hours until 1200 hours and from 1230
hours until 1530 hours from 1-9-20 until 18-9-20 to ensure public
safety during structural patching works.
Please note that this is an extension to an expired TTRO, due to
inclement weather and further deterioration of the road the works have
not been completed and in the interests of public safety the road
cannot be re-opened.
Emergency service access will be maintained and access for
residents and school vehicles will be maintained where possible.
