The proposals would see 11 flats built within the existing hotel building, which is located in the centre of the village, and 12 townhouses erected on the hotel grounds.
The modern parts of the hotel building, including the flat roofed restaurant, would be removed as part of the development.
A total of 47 car parking spaces along with 16 cycle spaces are proposed across the site.
There were 27 representations made in relation to the proposals, with 17 objections, including one from Bridge of Allan Community Council.
With more than five objections received, the plans were considered and determined by the Panel.
Members of the Panel approved the plans on 8 December, subject to the conclusion of a Section 75 agreement to secure contributions for affordable housing and waste, along with a number of conditions.
- The listed building to be redeveloped before construction of the townhouses.
- Samples or a brochure of all materials to be used on external surfaces to be submitted for prior written approval.
- Plans and elevations of the proposed bin stores to be submitted and approved.
- A scheme of landscaping to be submitted and approved, which will then be implemented in the first planting seasons following the construction of the development.
- Details of the cycle parking to be installed for the apartments to be submitted and approved.
