Please note that due to COVID 19 doors are only virtually open
The Engine Shed is Scotland’s dedicated building conservation centre, based in Stirling. Part of Historic Environment Scotland, it serves as a central hub for building and conservation professionals and the general public.
Our historic built environment is a finite and unique resource, yet its care calls for conservation skills that are in short supply. This new learning and visitor resource are helping to encourage a greater understanding of traditional building materials and skills – and inspire future generations to continue to care for Scotland’s built heritage. This year digital visitors can learn about how the building came about and what it's used for, among lots more!
- James Watt - Power to the World
- Window Restoration - Refurbishing the windows in the Engine Shed
- Points in Time - Digital Documentation of our cultural heritage
