Our Christmas and New Year Waste collections will run from 21st December 2020 until 4th January 2021.

Between Monday 21st December and Monday 4th January, we will be making temporary changes to your waste and recycling collections.There will be no collections on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, and 2nd January 2021.  

There will be no blue bin collection in the week commencing 21 December. Please do not present your blue bin for collection.

There will be no brown bin collection in the week commencing 28 December. Please do not present your brown bin for collection.

Letters have been sent out to all households.  Royal Mail have updated the Council that they are experiencing a significant backlog which has had an impact on delivery times.  If you have not received your letter yet you can find your festive collection calendar by using your postcode search.

Wrapping paper, Christmas cards, or gift cards containing foil, glitter, ribbons, or felt coatings are not recyclable and should be placed in your grey, non-recyclable bin.

Standard paper, wrapping paper, Christmas cards, and gift cards are recyclable and should be placed in your green recycling bin.

If you have excess cardboard during the festive period you can take it to any of our three Household Recycling Centres.

You can recycle your real Christmas trees in the garden waste skips at any of our three Household Recycling Centres.

Alternatively, you can chop them up and place them in your brown bin.

Our three Household Recycling Centres remain open on normal winter opening hours, with the exception of the following:
