Danny Gibson

Councillor Danny Gibson is the Scottish Labour and Cooperative Party Councillor for Stirling North Ward which includes Blairlogie, Cambuskenneth, Causewayhead, Craigmill, Stirling City Centre, Cornton, Forthside, Kildean, Manor Powis, Raploch, Riverside and the University of Stirling Campus.

Danny represented Stirling East Ward from 2012-2017 and thereafter (following boundary changes) the newly created 4 member Stirling North Ward from 2017-2022 and 2022 to present.

During that time he has served in a variety of roles such as Convenor of the Environment and Housing Committee, Depute Leader of Stirling Council and Convenor of the Children and Young People Committee.

Since June 2025 he has served as Chair of the Social Work and Education Committee.

Danny is a graduate of Stirling University, a member of GMB Trade Union and lives in the ward with his wife and two children.

Outwith his Council role Danny works for a Scottish Labour Member of the UK Parliament.
